Who we are
AdugeOps is kitchen operations for home and small food businesses. It is a product of FusedBulbStudios, a registered enterprise (Udyam registration UDYAM-KR-03-0395633) at 94, HSR Layout, Sector 7, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560102, India. In this policy, “we” means FusedBulbStudios.
This policy covers this website (adugeops.in) and the AdugeOps app (app.adugeops.in). It explains what information we handle, why, and what choices you have.
Two kinds of people this covers
- Kitchens: the businesses that use AdugeOps, and the owners and staff who sign in.
- A kitchen’s customers: the people who order from a kitchen. A kitchen records their details in AdugeOps to fulfil their orders. For this information the kitchen decides what is collected and why, and we handle it on the kitchen’s behalf.
Information we collect
From this website
- What you tell us when you request access: your name, email address, your kitchen’s name, what you make and roughly how many orders you take, plus a phone number and a link to your shop if you choose to give them.
- Basic usage analytics: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Anything you send us by email.
From kitchens using the app
- Account details: name, email address, a password (stored only in hashed form), and your role in the kitchen.
- Business details: kitchen name, logo, timezone and settings.
- What you record while working: orders, products, recipes, stock, expenses and payment status. We do not process payments for your customers.
- When you pay for a plan: the amount, date, payment method type (such as UPI or card) and Razorpay’s payment reference. Razorpay handles the payment itself; we never see or store card, UPI or bank details.
- A record of who changed what and when, so that mistakes can be traced and corrected.
About a kitchen’s customers
- Name, phone number and delivery address.
- Order history with that kitchen, and notes the kitchen adds, such as tags or food allergies.
- Email address, if the kitchen records it.
Information from connected services
Shopify
If a kitchen connects its Shopify store, we receive from that store: orders (items, amounts, payment and fulfilment status), products and prices, and customers’ names, phone numbers and addresses. We use this only to show and run those orders in AdugeOps. When the kitchen marks an order dispatched or delivered, we send that status, with the courier and tracking details the kitchen entered, back to the store. We do not change customer records in Shopify. Access tokens for the store are stored encrypted. Disconnecting the store, or uninstalling the app in Shopify, stops this and removes the tokens.
If a kitchen turns on customer updates, we use the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta, to send its customers messages about their own orders: confirmed, dispatched and delivered, and, for cash-on-delivery orders, a request to confirm. To do this we send Meta the customer’s phone number and the content of the message (name, order number, kitchen name, amount and delivery details). We receive back whether the message was delivered and read, and any reply the customer taps or types. We do not use WhatsApp for advertising, and we do not read a kitchen’s own WhatsApp chats.
How we use information
- To provide the service: show orders, run the kitchen board, keep stock and records up to date.
- To send messages a kitchen has asked us to send to its customers about their orders.
- To send account emails: invitations, email verification and password resets.
- To keep the service secure and to find and fix faults.
- To understand how the website is used and to contact people who requested access.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use a kitchen’s data or its customers’ data for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the providers needed to run the service, and only what each needs:
- Google Cloud runs the app, and Neon stores its database.
- Vercel hosts this website. Formspree holds some earlier email sign-ups. PostHog provides website analytics.
- Plunk delivers account emails.
- Razorpay processes payments for paid plans.
- Shopify, for kitchens that connect a store.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), for kitchens that turn on customer updates.
Some of these providers process information outside India. We may also disclose information when the law requires it. If the business is ever sold or merged, information would move to the new owner under this same policy.
How long we keep it
- When a paid plan ends, nothing is deleted: the kitchen moves to the Free plan and its records are kept.
- Kitchen data is kept for as long as the kitchen has an account. When a kitchen asks us to delete its account, we delete its data within 30 days, apart from what the law requires us to keep.
- Order and stock records are kept as a permanent trail while the account exists: corrections are added as new entries rather than overwriting old ones.
- Requests for access are kept until you ask us to remove them. Earlier email sign-ups are kept until you ask us to remove them or until access has been offered.
- Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.
Your choices and rights
- Kitchens can see and correct their information in the app, and can ask us to export or delete it.
- Customers of a kitchen should first ask that kitchen to see, correct or delete their details, since the kitchen decides how they are used. If you cannot reach the kitchen, write to us and we will pass the request on and help carry it out.
- WhatsApp messages: you can stop them at any time by asking the kitchen, or by blocking the number in WhatsApp.
- Access requests: write to us and we will remove your details.
To make any of these requests, or to withdraw consent, email admin@fusedbulbstudios.com. We respond within 30 days.
How to ask for your data to be deleted
Email admin@fusedbulbstudios.comfrom the address or phone number we hold for you, and say what you want deleted. A kitchen owner can ask for the whole kitchen account to be deleted. A customer can ask for their name, phone number, address and order history with a kitchen to be deleted. We confirm when it is done. What happens to a kitchen’s data on cancellation and deletion is set out in full in our Terms of Service.
Security
Connections to AdugeOps are encrypted. Passwords are stored hashed, tokens for connected services are stored encrypted, and each kitchen’s data is kept separate from every other kitchen’s. Access by our own staff is limited to what is needed to run and support the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will tell the affected kitchens and the authorities as the law requires.
Cookies
The app uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. This website uses analytics that may set cookies or use similar storage to count visits. We do not use advertising cookies.
Children
AdugeOps is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell kitchens by email about changes that matter.
